How to change the windows logon screen wallpaper
Are you bored of your boring windows logon screen?
Although the first methodology is simple and solid,some of you always wanted to do it the hard way!
Steps..to do it!
1) Hit Windows key + R
2) Type regedit
3) In that, navigate to the following folder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Authentication>LogonUI>Background
4) You'll see a file called OEMBackground with the value 'DWORD' (if you don't have it create one by right clicking)
5) Double-click on OEMBackground,set its value to 1
6) You have successfully activated boot logon but it is temporary.It will change back to default whenever you try to change your theme.To make this permanent,you'll have to follow the following steps
7) Hit Windows + R again and type gpedit.msc
8) It will Open up the "Group Policy editor" in that navigate to the following
Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>System>Logon
9) In Logon, navigate to the stringg "Always use custom login background"
10) Select Enable and Hit OK
Selecting your image:
Note that your image must be 256kb or less in size
Put your image in C:\Windows>System32>oobe>info>backgrounds
Normally,the folder doesn't exist so create one
Put your image in backgrounds folder it should be named as backgroundDefault.jpg ( this is important )
